Marine Futures is expanding

Portsmouth Harbour Marine and Gosport Marine Scene are delighted to announce that the popular Marine Futures programme has been expanded to take twice as many young people to sea this summer.

For three years, Gosport Marine Futures has given 8 young people from the local area the opportunity to sail for a week on board a Sail Training yacht, learning about themselves, gaining confidence and an interest in maritime. We are now delighted to announce that the opportunity will be available to 16 young people this year, from both the Gosport and Portsmouth sides of the harbour.  2 voyages will set sail during the summer holidays. No sailing experience necessary, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and work hard as this is not a cruise! You’ll have great fun, make new friends and learn lots of new things about seafaring and the coast.
