Pro Sailor of the Year – Dee Caffari

Dee Caffari led a 50:50 male and female team packed with fresh young talent in the Volvo Ocean Race and was a clear winner with the public in the Professional Sailor of the Year category at the 2018 British Yachting Awards.

Dee, speaking from Australia where she is about to take part in the 75th Sydney-Hobart Yacht Race, said “So thrilled to have been awarded Pro Sailor of the Year last night at the British Yachting Awards 2018. A big thank you to everyone that voted for me. Unfortunately I could not be at the award ceremony in person but sent this video message from Australia
