National Coastwatch seek volunteers

Could you be a National Coastwatch Volunteer?

Pleasure craft out for a fun day on the water – what could possibly go wrong? The answer is plenty, and we want your help keeping our local waters safe. Like the RNLI, the National Coastwatch Institution is a charity and stations are formally part of the Search and Rescue network. Gosport station reports directly to Solent Coastguard.

Gosport NCI is situated at the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour and our station is manned 364 days a year by men and women from all walks of life.

Volunteers need to commit to an average of 4 duty hours per week and will receive full in-house training to become qualified Watchkeepers.
